In Te Ngahere the year 6’s went on a trip to Urupukapuka Island with Project Island Song. We went to Urupukapuka with Project Island Song to help with bring back all the birds and insects. When we got to the warf me and Logan got tags that said biosecurite, when they gave us the tags they took us and gave us brushes we got told to stand on the brushes when the other year 6’s came they brushed their feet and then we had to pat there bags to see if they had any pests. When we were on the bout we did a little bit of work but it was fun work we had to figure out where north, south, east and west was then we found out witch track we were following. We saw lots of bird Anika’s mum saw blue penguins. When we where at Urupukapuka we had morning tea and then got to then we got split into two groups first I made rat traps they were really fun, then we did planting I planted a beach tree. Have you ever been to Urupukapuka Island before?
