The Incredible Te Reo Maori

In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to pronounce the alphabet, place names and greetings in Maori. We had to make 3 screencastify about the alphabet, place names and greetings in Maori. I think that I did really well with the learning the alphabet in Maori but in the future I will practice place names and greetings more. Have you ever learnt the maori alphabet before?

The Amazing Smart Surfing

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about Smart Surfing. Smart Surfing is when you have a question but you only use the keywords in your sentence on Google. First we watched a video that told us what Google does when you type something up on Google. I learnt that when you type a question on Google like “how fast does a Cheetah run?”, you could say “Cheetah running speed” because those are the keywords. When you type “how fast does a Cheetah run”, the Spiders in Google look at every page that have the words how, fast, does and run. That is why you only type the keywords so you have things that actually relate to what you are looking for. In the future I will now only type the keywords up on Google.

Incredible Maths

In Te Ngahere we have been doing maths. We all have groups, my group is the green group. My group did word problems, we could do it whatever way we wanted or what was best for us. I did equal auditions, we had a sheet that had the problems on it and I used equal auditions to solve the problems. I have been learning equal auditions, I found out that equal auditions is easy to do. Do you think that equal auditions are easy?

The Amazing Birthday

In Te Ngahere we went to Greens for lunch because it was Shivams birthday and his parents own greens. When we went to Greens we got butter chicken, the butter chicken tasted delicious, then we got Coke or Sprite. After we ate Angela & Jade gave Shivam a card that said happy birthday and we all signed it. We all got a big surprise at the end it was a chocolate egg. Before we left we sang a song for his whānau. What would you have done if you were there?
