Filming

 In Te Maunga we have been learning about filming. We learnt about what a long shot is and how to use green screen and also how to use I movie. I thought that they were all easy.

The Treasure Hunt

On Friday August 28th we did a treasure hunt. We could win gold headphones, Eskimo pies, a ball, a hand ball and chicken & chips. We were raising money for Sam Godsiff-Johnson and the charity I Am Hope

Maths DLO

 In Te Maunga we have been learning about probability. I learnt that a bottle lid would land up instead of on its side or down that is because there is more surface.

Cybersmart

In Te Maunga we learnt how to be cybersmart. We learnt that you have to be 13 or older to have tiktok. We also learnt that if you go on any app that says 13 or older you're breaking the law by going on it. We have to stay off things that your not allowed on to keep safe online

                                                                                  

Soundscape

In Te Maunga

we did a soundscape about Musical Instruments. We used all sorts of stuff like containers with beads in them, a wooden spoon, rocks, water, a bucket and sticks. I learnt that you can do heaps of stuff with small things.

Dinorama

In Te Maunga we did a dinorama about dinosaurs. We made fossils. We used plaster, Play-Doh and 1 strip of card. We all read the books and watched the video clips. I learnt that Africa was in Gondwana.

                                                                                 

College Art

Last week in Te-Maunga we did college. We all did mountains because we are Te-Maunga, I did 1 mountain when we finished drawing the mountains we got magazines and started to cut out the colours we needed.     

Kindness letters.

In Te Maunga we have been doing kindness letters. I wrote about a story that happened in lockdown, I said that when we were all allowed at the beach my mum bought bananas on a boat and we saw a fish float up on to the top of the water.

Viruses.

In Te Maunga we have been learning about viruses. I learnt that mushrooms are a type of fungi and that bacteria can be all shapes and sizes and when you sneeze you spray 6 million little viruses in the air.

The Water Cycle.

In Te Maunga we have been learning about the water cycle.  On my water cycle I showed the steps of how it works. I learnt that the steps are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.

We have learned about koru and kowhaiwhai patterns.

We did koru and kowhaiwhai patterns. My koru and kowhaiwhai patterns are air New - Zealand and normal ones. They represent my family, they are my family,  my family is my mum, dad, my brother and me.
